- Electrical System (12V/24V/48V Battery) - Recall Date: May 22, 2023 (Recall No: 23V361000): Certain 2020-2021 Polestar 1 vehicles are being recalled by Polestar due to an identified defect in the high-voltage battery cells. This defect could cause the battery to overheat when it is fully charged. Overheating the battery could pose safety risks and affect the vehicle’s operation.
- Electrical System (12V/24V/48V Battery) - Recall Date: December 14, 2022 (Recall No: 22V926000): Like the first recall, Polestar recalls some 2020-2021 Polestar 1 vehicles due to faulty high-voltage battery cells that could overheat at full charge.
- Seat Belts - Recall Date: September 1, 2021 (Recall No: 21V683000): Certain 2021 Polestar PS1 vehicles are being recalled due to the early deactivation of seat belt automatic locking retractors. This issue can hinder the proper securement of the child restraint system, which failed to comply with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard Number 208, related to “Occupant Crash Protection.”
