The Mitsubishi Lancer five-passenger sedan shares some of the sportier design lines of its EVO variant at a more value-minded price. There are some interesting packages, including the Ralliart model that adds a 237 hp engine and all-wheel drive. The powertrain warranty is one of the best warranties in its class at five years/60,000 miles (ten years/100,000 miles powertrain) that can transfer to subsequent owners.

The 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer is one of a few compact cars that provides all-wheel drive as an option. If you live in an area with a lot of wet weather or snow, that's a bonus. Unfortunately, an aging design and subpar quality leave something to be desired.
