The Explorer is a crossover that offers versatility through variety. Standard seating is for five people, but that can be upgraded to seven with the optional power-folding third row seats. This generation Explorer moved from the SUV to the crossover class to get better handling on the road, but it is still capable enough to tow boats and trailers. The optional all-wheel drive also has a selectable terrain system for added usefulness.
