The Sierra has a lineup of powerful engines that all achieve over 20 mpg on the highway, and the mid-level 5.3-liter V8 even is best in its class for 22 mpg on the highway. High levels of options can take this from an affordable work truck all the way to a near-luxury vehicle with options that even include crash avoidance systems that use seat vibrations for alerts. Off-road capabilities are enhanced with an optional full 4x4 drivetrain with low-range transfer case. This two-door version seats up to three people (other versions of the Sierra can seat up to six) and offers 15 cubic feet more cargo area than the standard bed. Kelley Blue Book recognized this truck for being a standout in their 5-year cost to own study, and it is the highest rated pickup by Consumer Reports.
