The Expedition EL offers the size to carry plenty of people and their cargo in a package that is one of the most versatile in its class. The "EL" part of this SUV adds nearly 15 inches to the length of the standard Expedition for add cargo capacity. It seats seven with two rows of bucket seats or eight with a center bench. No matter the setup, the third row folds flat into the floor for added convenience. The standard V8 engine provides for good towing. An optional 4x4 system allows driver to switch between full-time all-wheel drive and two speed transfer case, which allows one vehicle to provide the right kind of traction in all conditions. A wide array of options can bring this SUV to near-luxury levels. All of this variety and versatility is likely why the Expedition has earned a recommendation from Consumer Reports.
