This hybrid carries four people with the performance expected of the Porsche but with surprising economy. Earlier models utilized the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 in the gas/electric hybrid to return 380 hp 22/30 mpg city/highway. For 2014 the Panamera Hybrid switches to a plug-in system that enhances the combined horsepower to 415, and this also improved fuel economy by being able to run about 20 miles on pure electric power (the plug can achieve the equivalent of 50 mpg.)
